ConoDictor

Prediction and classification of conopeptides from cone snail venom gland transcriptomes, proteomes and peptides.

For every sequence, ConoDictor 3 gives:

  • the probability of each gene superfamily and of NONE (not a conopeptide);
  • the best superfamily if the sequence is known to be a conopeptide (e.g. from peptidomics);
  • the precursor regions (signal peptide, propeptide, mature peptide), the mature peptide, its cysteine framework and predicted C-terminal amidation.

Input: protein or nucleotide FASTA/FASTQ (reads, contigs, ORFs), plain or compressed. The reference database (conodictor-db-2026_04, 18 superfamilies) is rebuilt from UniProtKB with conodb.
